From May 6 to 9, CITIC Group Equity Directors Li Yi and Yue Xuekun visited the Czech Republic to conduct field research and inspection at CITIC Europe.
The Equity Directors conducted on-site inspections of several key projects, including the old ZIBA Building, the Florentinum Building, the Na Příkopě 30 (NP30) Building, and the Pivovar Žatec brewery. After receiving a comprehensive work report from CITIC Europe, the Directors expressed full recognition of the achievements made in risk disposal, operation, and management. Regarding the future development of CITIC Europe, the Directors outlined three key expectations:
First, to elevate strategic positioning and place high importance on CITIC Europe’s operations. From the perspective of building a world-class enterprise and implementing the Group’s internationalization strategy, it is essential to fully recognize CITIC Europe’s significance as the Group’s sole first-tier overseas subsidiary in Europe. The company must rigorously manage all tasks to ensure the preservation and appreciation of state-owned assets.
Second, to fully leverage the role of a bridge and bond. In line with the strategy “Expanding in Europe, Connecting with China, Energizing the Czech Republic”, the company should focus on industrial chain synergy, finance, and investment. By using innovative thinking to revitalize existing assets and expand new growth, every effort should be made to build CITIC Europe into “a bridge, a beacon, and a gateway” for the Group’s expansion into European and international markets. It must serve effectively as a window, a link, and a model of leadership.
Third, to solidify all aspects of fundamental management. It is vital to prioritize compliant operations while strengthening look-through approach to management, meticulous operations, and the prevention and control of integrity risks. Additionally, the company should strengthen its overseas teams, prioritize employee care and cultural integration, and build a unified force for development. Through robust governance and a positive corporate atmosphere, CITIC Europe can ensure the steady and long-term success of the Group’s overseas endeavors.

Representatives from the CITIC Group Board of Directors Office and the leadership of CITIC Europe participated in the visit.
